This is a popular omnipolar measurement microphone as it has a flat response 15Hz to 20 Khz and is very reasonably priced. It needs a preamplifier with phantom power.


There are two versions of the ECM8000. The frequency respons above is probably from the older version of the ecm8000, the graph below is from a ECM8000 bought in 2005.
